Reading Car Reviews And Doing Analysis Before Choosing An Auto
It is now pretty commonplace to see many auto evaluations in newspapers and on the web these days. Immediately after a car model is released in the market, their review is made available on various sites claiming to have an experience in things dealing with a car and offer to present an unbiased writeup on the car based on its attributes as well as positives and negatives. This is a widespread procedure to evaluate the characteristics of the vehicle with other cars within the same category.
In ways, these car reviews are generally worthwhile to people who intend to purchase a new car in the future since they can get an neutral view in regards to the attributes as well as the performance of the auto without even taking a test drive. These kinds of reviews can be of great help to car makers as well as they get to know the benefits and drawbacks of the automobiles which helps them in no uncertain manner because they can begin on the introduction of another vehicle which is better and does not have the functions that have been criticized in the review.
When it comes to the readership, these car reviews are generally of enormous value. In case a reader is impressed by a vehicle, they can study in detail regarding its specs and characteristics and dependant on the opinions of the person that has drawn the review. When the review is positive and also convincing, it tilts the selection of the reader in favor of the car and then he is a lot more inclined to purchase the automobile.
Nowadays, a lot of car producers have their own weblogs and web pages where they get the reviews of their cars published. These reviews are greatly one-sided in favor of their car thus it is very important to be aware of the source of the review as it might be coming from an authority who may have been paid to publish a good review.
There are some steps that a reader will need to take after reading a review. One should not base his decision on just one review and he or she should compare various reviews of the same car published in several web sites and magazines to be assured of the functionality of the vehicle. You can look at a lot of facets of the vehicle on your own, but for technical elements, you need assistance from these types of review since you are not skilled to evaluate a car on technical issues.

A Look at Car Transport Trailers
If you are moving a standard passenger car and want to investigate different car transport trailer options there are many possibilities in today’s auto shipping industry offered to the discerning customer. Open carrier transport is the most popular and least expensive type of auto shipping.
In most cases, your car will be transported on an eight or 10-car hauler, the same type of trucks used to deliver new cars. These trucks are 75-80 feet long and almost 14 feet high. They can be difficult to maneuver and are limited to major roads that are free of low hanging trees and low clearance bridges. Make sure you keep this in mind when directing the truck to the pick-up location. If you want to make sure that your car stays clean, and avoids all highway wear and tear, then have your car transported in an enclosed car transport trailer.
Enclosed trailers protect your car from all road hazards and weather for the duration of the trip. Due to the premium equipment and service provided with enclosed car trailers, it is usually the most expensive option in auto shipping. The following features are often available at an additional cost: lift gates for safe horizontal loading, ramp gates for long wheelbase vehicles, and winches for inoperable vehicles.
This car transport trailer option is excellent for costly or exotic cars. Some other popular enclosed trailer options for secure car transport are: six-car enclosed trailers, four-car enclosed trailers, and two-car non-stacking enclosed trailers. Multi-car or enclosed transport sometimes can’t be used due to height and width issues. Be sure to check the specs of the trailer and the size of your car.
Some drivers prefer to transport their own vehicle. It is best to learn from a trained professional some of the nuances of moving cars. When you buy or rent a trailer ask for basic driving instructions and transport hints. There are some car transport trailer companies that will custom build your own trailer the way you want it. This option will depend on your budget and your specific needs.
When choosing the proper car transport trailer for your car, discuss the length and weight of your car with the car trailer company to ensure it is within legal load specifications. More over if you are renting or buying, look for companies with large inventories and factory stock so you can avoid waiting for the trailer that you want.
Finding the appropriate car transport trailer to fit your specific needs and budget should be an easy task providing that you know you budget limitations, special travel requirements for your car, and length of trip. In today’s market there are literally hundreds of car transport trailer options out there, and you can count on finding the right one for you in no time at all.
When Style Meets Performance: Exotic Cars
Searching for a quality luxury car will inevitably bring anyone to the rather apt adjective, exotic. Exotic food or exotic beauty may be more clearly defined, but what really makes for an exotic sports car?
Sleek and Elegant Design
Part of what makes an exotic sports car is the vehicles streamlined, sleek, and smooth designs, all of which serve functional purposes to the overall performance of the car albeit being so highly aesthetically pleasing.
Indeed, even exotic sports car makers know emphasis that car enthusiasts and racers put on design per se. After all, owning an exotic sports car in contrast to owning a car is, in itself, a status symbol. This status is endowed not only by the make of the car but also the style and visual appeal.
In fact, companies like Ferrari even employ design houses to come up with their car designs. Design powerhouse Pininfarina, for example, designed the 2002 Ferrari ENZO.
Breakneck Speeds
While design is one of the considerations of many car enthusiasts, the primary characteristic that by-far differentiates a sports car from the rest is its acceleration and maintainable road speed. When it comes to sports cars, its all a matter of speed, speed, and more speed. A pretty car wont cut it if it cannot deliver the exhilarating ride that is expected of every sports car.
Exotic cars are continually challenging the rate at which a car can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph. Designs are beginning to be shaped from the engineering needs of the car, in order to suitably deliver a new record speed. As of the moment, the 1994 Dauer 962 LeMans continues to reign with 2.6 seconds. However, with the likes of the 2002 Ferrari ENZO being designed based on the specifications of making a fast car, expect faster sports cars in the near future.
One-in-a-Million
Indeed, exotic sports cars arent the type that mass produced and you cant but then off-the-lot. Part of its exotic appeal is the fact that you can only have a certain number of models made available for sale. The rarer and more difficult to acquire, the greater a cars exotic value.
Its in the Name
Most cars dont need visualization to be called exotic, they just are. These would include your cult sports car classicsyour Porsche, your Ferrari, your Lamborghini.
While an exotic sports car may be subjectively defined over a huge stratum, its safe to believe that these qualities are more or less held in commonality by any definition. At any rate, one look at a car may be enough to give you a clue.

Sports Car: The Lure of It
Sports cars in general, are mostly about style and performance. This is why these types of cars lure so many drivers in the market. Sports cars are head turners and usually look best in the colour red.
Sports cars have power placed to its pavement across its rear wheels or on all of the four wheels. The cars are principally constructed for the driver, although there are a few have rear seats.
The lure of sports cars demonstrate, as surveys show, that nearly sixty percent of young car drivers between the ages of seventeen and twenty, select a car based on appearance with little consideration on its affordability. Only seven percent base their selection on the cost of insurance cost and/or running condition and thirty percent base their selection solely on appearance.
While views greatly vary with regards to the sports car precise definition, the majority of sports cars come with two doors, two seats and are designed for tremendous acceleration, high speed, and of course, attractiveness.
Their attractive looks are that lure car drivers and enthusiasts, second only to the performance, surveys said. Sports cars do not have much room capacity or may not be reasonable or economical. Passenger space and fuel cost-effectiveness are not generally the main considerations of an individual who is in the showroom ready to purchase an image-boosting vehicle.
The lure of a sports car is really all about impact and style; most say that sports cars are vehicles that after parking it and when walking away, there is that compelling force that makes one turn back for another look at that handsome car.
While many sports cars fans were lured by its appearance, there are others attracted to its performance. When a sports car entails superior road handling, performance and implementation compared to the standard passenger vehicle the sports cars have a more firm and tight- tuned suspension and efficient ‘steering system,’ improved aerodynamics, a transmission that is ‘out to perform’, high-execution tires and a superior weight to power ratio.
These are the reasons why the sports car simply is a fun vehicle to drive and why it lures so many drivers. A fabulous car such as a Range Rover or a Lexus may also be satisfying, a true sports car will give its driver immeasurable feeling of contentment that will place a lasting and satisfied smile on any drivers face.

Choosing the Right Sports Car
The times are changing, and one way to gauge how much they’ve changed in the auto world is to consider that term, “sports car.” Once upon a time, and not so long ago, the definition was rather narrow. A sports car was a two-seat, two-door coupe or convertible, a little lean on luxury with more attention given to handling and performance. Thirty or 40 years ago, there were just a few makes and models that fit the bill, such as Ferrari and Porsche at the high end, and MG and perhaps Alfa-Romeo in the “affordable” category.
Today you can forget all that. The definition of “sports car” has expanded and inflated considerably, although certain purists hold out for the two-seat coupe and convertible definition. These restrictions are enforced in certain international racing events, but for the consumer auto market, terms like “sports” and “sporty” can reasonably be applied to a wide range of autos, including four-door sedans and even “crossover” vehicles.
Defining “sports” and “sporty”
The task of choosing a sports car (or “sporty” one), although made more difficult with the proliferation of powerful and good-handling cars, is simplified in practice by considering just a few main questions. Choosing the right sports car is a process that depends on what you want in the vehicle. You may think that ultimate cruising power and stability, the traits of a classic “gran turismo” or GT car, are the most important. Or you may want classic sports car handling for driving the Alpine-type mountain roads. Both ideals are acceptable within the expanded definition of “sports car” today.
Even with this expanded definition, we can settle on certain traits that most auto aficionados would agree to. Sports cars should be at least reasonably fast off the line, although they are not dragsters, and able to maintain high speeds with stability. They should be “tossable” and handle well in the curves, with upgraded suspensions and brakes to handle the strains. Of course, looking cool or sexy is a plus, as well. On the other hand, luxurious comfort, although achieved by some makers, is not a requirement, and neither are the “techno-toys” like in-dash navigation systems and DVD players.
Buying considerations
If you are a single guy or gal, with no intentions of getting married or raising a family any time soon (or sooner than the car’s paid off), sticking with a no-frills two-seater is a cost-effective way to get into sports motoring. The new and used market can offer everything from Nissan 350Z’s and Audi TT’s to newer American models like the Pontiac Solstice and the UK’s “mini-Beemer,” the Mini Cooper. Many of these offer decent gas mileage, too.
All is not lost if you’re a family guy, since only a classic car buff would tell you that the four-door Infiniti G35 is not a “sports car.” With over 300 hp, a taut suspension and a six-speed manual transmission, this car can blow plenty of purist cars off the road. Also in the “family-friendly” class of sports cars are several of the smaller Jaguar sedans, plenty of BMW and Mercedes models, and even some “American muscle” sports machines like the Dodge Charger or muscled-up Japanese crossovers like the Lexus RX series.
For those who have no price limits, of course, choosing the right sports car can be frustrating these days, as there are so many fabulous choices. The Ferraris are always a rich man’s favorite, and world class, of course, but Aston-Martins, Porsches, Vipers and Corvettes, the Nissan Skyline, the million-dollar-plus Bugatti Veyron and a phalanx of Mercedes AMG models are available for those who can afford them.
However, many people who could afford any car at all still stick with older XKEs, classic Alfas and small MGs, because they offer the true, fun, Sunday-drive kind of motoring experience that still says “sports car.” What’s nice about the auto market today is that drivers are free to decide for themselves exactly what “sports car” means.
Exotic, luxury and high-end cars are more than machines—they are pieces of art that should be appreciated and respected. We at In Sixth Gear.com share your passion for these fine vehicles and understand the life of an automotive aficionado. Visit us online today.

Sports Car Hire ? Drive Your Dream Car
It’s not all that difficult to get a sports car hire. Most of us have a dream car that we have always wanted to drive. Generally, the fantasy is to get behind the wheel of some exotic sports car like a Porsche, Ferrari, or even as Aston Martin. That does not have to be a dream any longer. The car rental industry has gone through changes through the years and one of these changes has been that the opportunity to rent performance cars has increased. Sure, you have always been able to rent sports cars since the mid-sixties, but they were often hard to find and too pricey to be realistic.
Well, while they are still pretty pricey, the availability of sports car hire has risen dramatically. If you have a dream car that you have always wanted to drive, chances are now good that you’ll be able to rent it, and, if you only want to play with it for a day or two, it probably won’t cost you an arm and a leg. The cost, however, will depend on the car.
You can rent a Porsche 911 Turbo for around 9 USD, a day. An Aston Martin Vantage will run you about 5 USD, daily, while a Lamborghini Murcielago might take that arm or leg off at 50 USD per day.
There are many reasons an individual might choose a sports car hire instead of a more conventional, boring sedan from a car rental counter. Perhaps the person is traveling to a particular city on business and just wants to liven up a day or two in that city. Maybe you are considering the exact same sports car and you want an extended test drive. Then, again, maybe you are a sports car buff and you just want to rent the thing for fun.
The option of a sports car hire allows someone who might otherwise never get the chance, to experience their dream car first hand. In exchange for this opportunity, you will pay higher rates and have to qualify over some stringent restrictions. First, a sports car hire is going to cost much more than your average rent a car. Secondly, you will probably have to buy more insurance from the rental agent, as your auto insurance probably will not follow you into a Bentley. Then, you will probably have to meet more stringent age requirements. There will definitely be higher mileage charges, and these cars are not renowned for low MPG. You will want to check travel restrictions, as well. Sometimes, high-end automobile renters will restrict distances and destinations when they rent out a sports car.
Still, when it comes to driving your dream car, jumping through a few more hoops than usual isn’t really that much of an inconvenience.
Just imagine watching a television show or a movie with a group of friends and a fast moving, aerodynamic Lotus comes racing on the screen, and you can say, “I drove one of those.”
Oh yeah, when enjoying a sports car hire, get plenty of pictures, too.

But in truth what is it that makes a sports car an exotic spots car, whats the difference?. For me the difference is theres much less exotic sports cars out there, than there is sports cars. An exotic sports car is produced at much less numbers, than its sports car cousin, as an un written rule 8,000 or less in number.
